This is a great exercise that I picked up from Julia Cameron while listening to a lecture back in coaching school. It has helped me to work through a handful of heavy situations and I always find myself feeling lighter at the end, with much more compassion and love for both myself and for those involved.
Grab a pen and some paper and write down the following questions, the centre yourself with your breath.
Ask your higher self, your wiser self, your Obi Wan Kenobi self and as insights come through, write them down.
What do I need to know?
What do I need to accept?
What do I need to try?
What do I need to do?
What do I need to breathe?
What do I need to celebrate?
While you’re writing it is important to allow the answers to flow through you unrestricted. No judgement necessary, this practice is for you. Be open to hearing whatever it is that finds itself on the paper.
Have fun with it! You never know, it just might clear some stuff and leave you feeling lighter and more in tune with the force!
